Sonic arrives this year on the GO track. Appearing as a mascot for SEGA in 1991 on MegaDrive, Sonic is still as fast and popular as ever. He symbolizes speed and is surely the fastest video game character! In 2010, the racing game Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing was released, which brings together several characters from Sonic and Sega games. They then engage in a battle on circuits in their vehicles. After Mario, Carrera takes the main characters to make them race on GO.

A quick description of the track. The track is therefore composed of a single track, its main elements are 2 banked turns and a loop. A banked turn R2 therefore a large radius for a fast passage, and a banked turn type R1 therefore less fast.
The starting base, new this year, offers two main game modes. Free and Challenge. The challenge mode proposes to do a maximum of laps in a limited time (30, 45 or 60 seconds) before an automatic stop of the car. A mechanical rev counter allows to know the number of laps done in the chosen period. It sports a sticker in the colors of Sonic. Which differentiates it from the other rev counters.
What are the differences with the RedBull Challenge circuit presented in a previous article?
You will not have missed it, in terms of colors, the track has some differences. The loop, traditionally black at Carrera, which we could see orange last year in the Hotwheels circuits, red on the RedBull circuit, takes the blue color here with Sonic.
The banked turns have the rumble strips painted, the colors traditionally red and white at Carrera adapt to Sonic and are blue and white for the occasion.
The decorations
The usual decoration kit is present with 3 track edges in Sonic’s blue colors, which the assembly instructions position in the long straight but you can position them in the curves to avoid track exits.
Between the loop and the lap counter, position a tunnel. You can position it in other places as long as it is a straight line.
How to use this circuit with several people? You set the time for each race and you note the number of laps completed by each person. The winner is the one who completes the most laps.
Sonic : the car
In order to compare Sonic with another beloved hero of children, you will find pictures of both vehicles.
Sonic is a little shorter than Flash McQueen and just like Flash the front end is narrower than the rear end.
