Track 124° – Pit Garage

You have the refueling stand module (ref. 20030356), this decorative element is made for you. The refueling module is great to spice up the race, but the track alone lacks life, the addition of this stand will give relief and it will look like a real stand with its garage.

The assembly instructions are worthy of the instructions of the famous Swedish furniture manufacturer, with beautiful drawings without any text. Simple and effective in all languages.

The assembly is rather simple to assemble the 12 elements and the stickers

The first step is to insert the sliding doors into their tracks. This is not so easy because the doors are stiff but once the plastic is softened, it is possible.

Then you will have to insert the doors into the central slides

We do the same thing for the second stand.

We add the roof.

And the advertising panels on the front and back of the roof.

For the advertising elements, I haven’t decided yet, both are good, I’m hesitating so I’m giving myself time to think. Especially since I could also make personalized ones with real motorsport brands.

For the side parts, a board allows you to put glass doors.

Set up

It’s time to put the stand at the edge of the track. Obviously, I put it in front of the pit lane. I open a curtain to see the inside and place a car inside. A slot in the base allows the car to be placed flat. It is possible to close the door with a car inside but not with all cars, even 1/32°. So a slightly long car like the BMW M6 GT3, does not fit. You can clearly see the difference in size on the photo with the vehicle next to the stand. The problem is even more pronounced with 1/24 cars.

As we noticed during assembly, the back also opens, allowing the stage to be extended to the back with, for example, semi-trailers.

The soft plastic sliding door system does not make it easy to open or close the doors, it is not easy to slide them.

Bonus

In order to be able to regularly and easily change sponsors above the stand, I recreated in 3D printing an advertising support that you can find in the 3D section of the site.

Conclusion

The essential equipment to place in front of the pit lane. But this accessory calls for another type of decoration, the mechanics.
