A wooden book for HYBRID cars

JI wanted to protect my hybrid cars and I wanted something nice so I searched. I often browse the sitehttps://boxes.hackerspace-bamberg.de/ and I had an idea by combining several elements of the site. The elements will be made by laser cutting with 3mm thick wood.

The box that will house the cars will look like a wooden book. Inside, there’s a removable double compartment. To avoid damage or flat tires, the car will rest on the chassis.

The book: https://boxes.hackerspace-bamberg.de/FlexBook?language=fr

The cars support : https://boxes.hackerspace-bamberg.de/NotesHolder?language=fr

To rest the car on the chassis, I designed a riser so the tires wouldn’t touch the ground.

After cutting and assembling, here’s the result.

The locker that houses the cars can be easily extracted.

View from the bottom of the support.

You can find the svg files in the download section here: livre en bois

With a little adaptation, it’s of course possible to do the same thing for slot cars, following the guide.

I chose to engrave the Hybrid logo, but anyone can engrave whatever they want on the cover (front and back), and even on the edge.

You’ll find other elements you can create with your laser cutter on the website.https://boxes.hackerspace-bamberg.de/
