Many versions of Flash McQueen have appeared in the GO range since the release of the first film. After the classic, neon, carbon, ice, Rocket Racer, Dinoco, Fabulous, Silver and mud versions, here is the glow-in-the-dark version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not much to say about the packaging, it can be seen from afar on the shelf, the lever on the right informs us straight away that it is a Carrera model and not a classic one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of the box, Flash’s red is still punchy and the yellow is sharp. The details are well reproduced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can’t resist testing its luminescent capabilities, I turn off the light and take my black light flashlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The particularity of black light is to only bring out white and fluorescent colors, and the effect is rather nice. Luminescent materials are generally reactive and this is confirmed here with the yellow that stands out well. While the tires seem identical, we realize that it is not the same material. Surprise, the bodywork reacts enormously to black light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not easy to take pictures at night, I hope it will be sufficiently bright. Now it is time to turn off all light sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wow, it flashes, we can see the luminescent parts very well, successful effect, we can clearly distinguish the contours and texts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To activate the effect, you can leave Flash under a lamp, but it will not be very bright. It works better in the sun, but it is not always easy in the evening. Black light is as effective as the sun and allows maximum brightness. There are small flashlights on Amazon for less than fifteen euros.<\/p>\n\n\n

You can imagine for example an area on the track that would be lit by this lamp, and the players could stop for a few seconds to recharge the light effect before starting again for a few laps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warning:
<\/strong>Just like the sun, black light is composed of ultraviolet rays and is dangerous for the skin and eyes. Exposure of objects is not dangerous but it is not recommended to direct the light for a long time on the skin and never on the eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
