This set introduces a new theme, manga, and features the brand-new starting track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Available on the Carrera website, it&rsquo;s finally arrived for testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Manga Theme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Carrera GO!!! <strong>\u00ab\u00a0Ronin Racers\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> set is an original Carrera creation. It is not based on any existing manga or anime. Carrera drew inspiration from the visual codes of Japanese manga and automotive culture to design this generic universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why create a new universe?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Designing a generic universe rather than using an existing franchise addresses several economic, legal, and creative imperatives for a manufacturer like Carrera:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"555\" src=\"https:\/\/www.carrera-fun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/ronin_02.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9622\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.441465445462115;width:551px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.carrera-fun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/ronin_02.png 800w, https:\/\/www.carrera-fun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/ronin_02-300x208.png 300w, https:\/\/www.carrera-fun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/ronin_02-768x533.png 768w, https:\/\/www.carrera-fun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/ronin_02-600x416.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cost savings on licensing:<\/strong> Acquiring the rights to a popular manga or franchise is very expensive. Without royalties to pay to rights holders, production costs decrease, allowing us to offer the set at a much more affordable price, which is great for us, the customers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Creative freedom and total control: <\/strong>By creating \u00ab\u00a0Ronin Racers,\u00a0\u00bb Carrera&rsquo;s designers are not subject to any external approval. They can design the cars, the track, and the packaging exactly as they wish, without any graphic design constraints imposed by a rights holder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Universal accessibility: <\/strong>A generic theme inspired by the visual codes of Japanese street racing immediately appeals to children and fans without requiring any prior knowledge of the story or specific characters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The front of the box<\/strong> features Japanese text with the following meanings:<br>Top left: speed<br>Top right: car<br>Under Ronin: steel<br>Under Racers: racing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Two characters are shown on the back of the box:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"263\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.carrera-fun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/ronin_03.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9623\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Raijin Rider<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cGod of Thunder Racer.\u201d The Japanese text translates to \u201cRider of the God of Thunder.\u201d<br>A description tells us more about the character: \u201cHis engine roars like a storm! Raijin Rider bursts onto the track with lightning and thunder, blasting his opponents off the track.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hikari Strike <\/strong>\u2013 \u201cLightning Racer.\u201d The Japanese text translates to \u201cLightning Strike.\u201d<br>A description tells us more about the character: \u201cIn a split second, Hikari Strike is already past! But obviously, the decoration takes on the colors of each character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:6px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So here are our two vehicles on the starting line. Carrera hasn&rsquo;t skimped on the decoration: you can immediately identify the theme associated with the vehicles and clearly differentiate the two models.<\/p>\n\n\n<div There&rsquo;s no need to dwell on the track layout. Just a quick reminder about the loop, which is always difficult for younger players and criticized by slot racing purists who point out that loops are never seen on a real track. The back of the box also offers tracks without loops, which is very useful for adding variety.
